ABOUT US
Founded in 2020 by Puerto Rico native Aryanna Ison, Akari Swimwear is a celebration of feminine design paired with minimalist simplicity. Aryanna draws inspiration from the vibrant beach vibes of her homeland, Puerto Rico and the contemporary energy of New York, where she lived for many years. With over a decade of industry experience—including a major in Fashion Design & Production Management from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and further studies in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management at LIM College—her designs effortlessly blend natural sexiness with a playful twist.
It was at FIT that Aryanna met Kerri Bridgman, forging a partnership that would become central to Akari Swimwear’s success. Kerri, a Jersey Shore native now based in South Florida, brings extensive expertise in supply chain management, production, and procurement. Having worked with leading fashion brands to optimize sourcing and streamline operations, her background ensures that every Akari piece is produced with precision and care. Kerri’s focus on ethical manufacturing and sustainable practices is evident in every design, as she works diligently to minimize waste and support responsible fashion.
Every bikini and one-piece is produced in an eco-friendly, ethical factory in Bali, Indonesia. True to their commitment to sustainability, a portion of every sale is donated to the ROLE Foundation in Bali. The foundation’s initiatives—ranging from zero waste to oceans and sustainable coastal business development to women’s business education—ensure that Akari Swimwear not only enhances your style but also contributes positively to the environment.
At Akari Swimwear, every collection tells a story of passion, precision, and purpose—where timeless beach vibes meet conscientious design for the modern, eco-aware individual.
